Packing Tips For Motorcycle Trips

Most people who ride motorcycles from enthusiasts to occasional riders have at one time or another thought about getting away for a long road trip. For such a trip planning is a very important part of the preparation. In this article well talk about what to pack on your bike.

Make a list

First after the initial rush of energy and excitement when you finally are able to arrange your dream trip the first thing you need to do is relax and start making a list of all the things you might need. Some suggestions:

1. Road map. You can buy fold up maps or if your cell phone has internet access you can use one of the many free map services Yahoo Google Mapquest. If you really want to get fancy you can purchase a navigation system for your motorcycle.
2. Tool bag/kit. Dont forget to bring along some simple tools in case the need for minor repairs arises. Cable ties screwdrivers Phillips and standard pliers a couple of standard size wrenches and a repair manual may save the day in case of a problem. You certainly dont want to be out in the middle of nowhere and be stuck because of a minor problem that could have been easily fixed with a simple tool.
3. Clothes. Keep an extra set of clothes handy and dont forget your rain gear. Its best to pack the rain gear last so you can get to it in a hurry if a sudden rainstorm kicks in.
4. Snacks. You should pack some light snacks for the roadnuts dried fruit power bars granola bars water and a couple candy bars are ok if you have a sweet tooth. Dont forget to take care of your trash.
5. Think of anything else you might want or need on your ride and include that on your list. You can always remove nonessential items if you are getting too loaded down.

After you make your list gather everything together and go through each item checking it off. It may seem like overkill but sometimes this is the stage where you remember a critical item that you forgot when making your initial list.

Packing

Make sure that as you pack your luggage the weight is balanced on both sides of your bike. An off balance bike is harder to handle takes much more energy and safety is always a major issue for riders. When your bike is fully packed take it on a short test drive to ensure that everything is packed tightly and wellbalanced.

Planning for your long bike trip is essential to the enjoyment of the ride you wont have to spend time like I do! wondering what you forgot you can just relax and enjoy being on the open road.

Also remember that running your car on water will not cancel your vehicles warranty. Removing the converter responsible for running the car on water is as easy as installing it is.

You can use hydrogen for powering your engine since it is more powerful than petrol gas and even diesel. The converters converting water to energy can also free the potent energy of hydrogen to Browns gas or HHO. So running the car on water is the best way to beat the rising oil and gas prices. Produced by British Leyland the MGAs replacement the MGB became the number one selling sports car with an extremely sleek design.

Rapid sales saw the MGB initially a soft top released as GT and GT V8 versions. The 1800cc 4 cylinder engine was quick for its day capable of reaching 060mph in eleven seconds and producing just under 100hp. Due to advances in production such as the monocoque chassis MGB was able to produce a lighter model compared to the rivals of the day such as the Triumphs. Coupled with the advances in performance was the progress in the MGB safety features including the first crumple zones.

The MGB GT was a hard top version released in 1965. Although the rear of the car was limited due to the use of a small bench instead of full seats the hard top was said to have better handling and higher top speed due to a more rigid chassis and better aerodynamics. Being one of the first ever hatchbacks the MGB GT was popular due to its versatile nature. The rear space offered a large flat luggage area due to the folding rear seats creating a more practical solution for a lot of drivers.

The MGB GT V8 was introduced in 1973 powered by the Rover V8 thus the MGB GT V8 was a much powerful variation and was capable of very respectable performance figures. Top speed of 125 mph and going 060mph around the 8 second mark.

During the successful MGB production there was the release of the mk2 and mk3 MGB. These new variations saw slight tweaks to the original MGB model mainly small changes to the exterior such as the grille bumper and windscreen wipers. A more notable introduction was that of the MGBs sister the MG MGB. The MGB was powered by a 2.9L 6 cylinder engine capable of reaching close to 120mph and output just under 150hp which made it a much powerful alternative to the popular MGB. Slight changes were made to the exterior of the MGB most noted was the larger wheels and power bulge on the bonnet.

The once very popular sports car ceased production in 1980 due to slowing sale figures.
